On a busy night for the junior section at the club, Brooklands U9s made it 3 wins in a row with a 91 run victory over Timperley CC.
Brooklands won the toss and elected to bat. Revelling in the early the evening sunshine, the boys batted first and put on 316 runs for the loss of just 4 wickets. Leo Marshall and Cale McCoy adding respectable contributions to the total in their first outings this season. Rising star, Mathew Mills dominated for Brooklands with the bat scoring 33 runs off 16 balls faced. Timperley struggled to respond throughout their innings under consistent pressure from Brooklands' accurate bowlers. They managed a total of 225 after losing 11 wickets at the hands of the Brooklands attack. Skipper George Myddelton taking 3/4, supported by Krishan Kunger (2/1) and Ollie Gartside, returning to form with the ball recording 2/3 off his 2 overs. Howells, Hill, Marshall and Mills took the remainder of the wickets.
