Brooklands U9s Advance in SMJCL Cup

The weather was amazing on Thursday evening for the under 9s cup match against Stockport. Stockport won the toss and decided to bowl.

After some over excited running in the early pairs, Brooklands did well to post a good score, setting the visitors 332 to win.

The Bears’ three top scorers were Ronjay with 24/0, Krishan 23/1 and George 22/1.

With the ball, star bowler was Ollie Gartside with figures of 4 for 3 runs off his 2 overs. The other wickets were taken by Thomas (1), Krishan (1) and Joe (1).

As a team, Brooklands played really well. When fielding we did everything right including long barrier, soft hands, focus on the ball, walking in and cheering everyone on. We all loved the game and especially winning. We all can’t wait to see who we play in the next round.
