The third XI made the trip out to Stockport Trinity and were thrown straight into the field by the home captain.
Bowling first on an extremely offset wicket helped Brooklands into a promising starting position. Stockport Trinity found themselves 48-3 after openers Paul Vesey (1-23 off 10) and Captain Batty (2-58 off 14) struck early.
The Trinity middle order proved strong and a 90 run partnership between Andrew Twidell (53) and Nish Dodangoda (52*) helped steady the hosts ship.
Dodangoda found keeping a regular partner difficult with youngster Hannan Tariq (2-17 off 4) and elder statesman Jaydutt Kamath (2-30 off 7) making short work of the remaining tail. 45 overs were reached by Trinity and Brooklands required 184 to win.
Ross Willard and Pritvhi Mody again opened the batting for the visitors but found Trinity's opening bowler difficult to handle as he removed Mody, O’Gormon and Mike Nowell quickly before bowling Willard for 23.
The only player to offer any sort of resistance was once again Paul Vesey (31*) who kept a level head when all those around him were losing theirs. The visitors were all out for 100 in just 41 overs with Friel finishing on 6-23 off 12 overs.
A good bowling performance was laid to waste by a poor batting performance and the third XI will look to rectify this before they face Chelford at home this Saturday.
