Last week was a fantastic victory against a very good Bowdon team. We might have let it slip a little bit in the fielding department in the second half but we stuck to it and I actually think we did very well to restrict them. I also think we batted with our heads, we did not try to make things happen for the sake of it but rather we waited for bad balls and turned good balls into singles. It was also a game where every single person contributed, showing how important it can be to work as a team, we don't always need that one outstanding performer.
This week we come up against a team who are walking the league, that said last season we were the only team to beat the champions, Upton, so there is no reason we should not be confident against this team
There are a fair few changes due to unavailability this week but this does give people an excellent opportunity to prove why they should be playing second xi every single week.
I am not playing as I am moving house (beers at Alan's) so Richard is skipper. He has requested that everyone meets at 10.55 with a strict 11am departure.
