A disappointing performance saw the 2s total just 127 after they won the toss and put Bramhall into bat first. The game started off well for the 2s with Sam Higgins (4-52 off 13) removing opening batsman Ruaridh Holloran Patel for just 11. Higgins also removed Bramhall's Siddall and Wood quickly to leave the hosts reeling on 59-3.
Opener Ellie Mason kept a cool head and together with Stuart Stoneman, the pair guided Bramhall back to the relative comfort of 177 before Stoneman became Higgins third victim.
That was pretty much that as far as high scoring innings were concerned as the Bramhall tail failed to wag and after Mason was stumped by Si Lee from a George Storrow floater the home side crawled to 201 all out.
The Brooklands response spluttered and threatened at times but was essentially unable to provide much of a fightback. Storrow and James Robinson fell cheaply. Higgins made a start but was trapped lbw for 19. Mark Bloomfield (42) and Stefan Ray-Hills (23) put up a bit of a fight but ultimately the 2s were found wanting as they were all out for just 127.
